There is nothing like making organic bread from scratch. Unlike a quick bread, you start with the
yeast. Then mill your own organic wheat berries into a flour. Yes, it is time consuming, but it's worth every minute. It's extremely gratifying to mold and knead with your bare hands. It's a very basic, earth connecting experience. The waiting to see if the dough will rise becomes a wonder. Then the best, begins with the aroma. There is absolutely nothing that smells better from the oven than fresh baked organic bread. The smell can linger for days. Nothing says "home" like the smell of freshly baked organic honey bread. Of course, biting into a piece of warm bread with butter melting on it, isn't too bad either.

I'm starting a class on how to bake this organic wheat berry honey bread from scratch. We will also make Oatmeal bread, include soy flour, make pizza dough and cinnamon rolls. Sour dough starter will also be made.
To enroll in this class contact the Senior Center in Emeryville its on Tuesday mornings from 10 AM -  12 noon. Yum what a great treat for lunch.
5/15...Today we made tortillas, pizza and bread dough to take home and bake.
Come next week May 22 on Tuesday for 3 layer breakfast bread. No class after next week until June 12
class starts at 10AM Emeryville senior center
Yumm Yum leavened tortillas on the grill.

The class was a great success until my magic mill died on me after many years of service.
Now I'm looking for a used one  and pursuing sprouting Quinoa, Flax and my regular seeds for my meals and a great source of protein and enzymes.
Its amazing how sprouts  begin so quickly with I-Water. or restructured water.
I hope to start a sprouting class soon sometime in May 2013. Please make a comment or drop me an email if you are interested in an online course.
Thanks
